Baotou's logistics park completes first import business
The Baotou Bonded Logistics Center (B Type) undertook its first batch of import business from Dec 4 to 7, with a total trade volume of 87.42 million yuan ($13.35 million), according to Baotou Daily.
The imports included 80 pieces of electric wheel parts imported by Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co from the United States.
A recent declaration showed that the bonded logistics park is now operational, and this has far-reaching significance in terms of promoting the high-quality development of Baotou's export-oriented economy.
The bonded logistics park, located in Jiuyuan (International) Logistics Park in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was established in May.
Since its creation, the park has encouraged import-export trade and investments to promote the construction and operation of the bonded logistics park.
To date, the logistics center has completed a total of 291.4 million yuan in import and export business, and its functional advantages have been fully demonstrated, which not only improves the efficiency of the entry and exit of goods, but also reduces operating costs for enterprises.
