Xindushi district to develop into new urban center
Xindushi district in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to improve 120 basic services and upgrade projects in 10 categories in order to develop itself into an influential new urban center, according to Baotou Evening News.
The district will focus on the completion of 53 road construction projects and the orderly implementation of 18 traffic projects such as social parking lots and urban expressways to smooth the district's traffic system.
It will fully complete the construction of underground comprehensive pipe corridors and ensure the safe operation of eight types of corridor pipelines including electricity, gas and water supply.
The district will actively carry out greening activities, adding 500,000 square meters of green space, effectively improving the local environment.
In addition, the district will begin the construction of the Inner Mongolia Industrial Museum, the Vanke Ice and Snow Hall, the National Fitness Center and other projects, and integrate these with the established Baotou Grand Theater and Baotou Science and Technology Museum to develop cultural tourism and sports industry and build Baotou city into a cultural tourism and sports center.
According to the development and population agglomeration, on the basis of the 11 schools that have been built, 14 high-quality schools will be newly renovated or expanded to develop an education center in the city.
The new district will vigorously introduce digital industry projects such as 5G applications and smart social management to enhance the city's smart city development.
