Baotou's high-tech district reaches agreement on talent projects
Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reached preliminary cooperation intention agreements with four companies for talent projects at the 2020 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents, recently held in South China's Guangzhou, according to local media reports.
The Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone delegation outlined the industrial foundation, policy environment and platform agglomeration advantages of Baotou city and its high-tech district, in order to attract more investment projects to the city.
The 2020 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, the Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China), and the people's government of Guangzhou.
The event was held both online and offline. A total of 3,000 overseas talents from 31 countries and regions including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia attended the event, with about 3,500 projects.
In addition, the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone delegation learned about global talent development paths during the event, as well as technological innovation trends, innovation and entrepreneurship environments across the country, talent policies and innovative technological achievements.
