Donghe district signs contracts for 21 major projects

Donghe district in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, signed contracts for 21 major projects worth 19.1 billion yuan ($2.95 billion) during an investment promotion event held on Jan 6, according to local media reports.

The contracted projects are related to aluminum deep processing, the "industrial internet", urban minerals, new energy, equipment manufacturing and other fields, and have injected strong impetus into Donghe district to accelerate the conversion of its energy sector and promote high-quality development.

In 2020, Baotou's investment promotion entered the fast lane, with 264 contracted projects and a total contractual investment of 293.3 billion yuan throughout the year, laying a solid foundation for the city's economic and social development.
