Shiguai district signs 30 projects, worth 45b yuan
Shiguai district in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, signed cooperation agreements for 30 major projects worth 44.54 billion yuan ($6.88 billion) during an investment promotion event on Jan 8, according to Baotou Evening News.
Shiguai district lies to the west of Daqing Mountain and is known as a pilot district of China's national "Smart City" initiative.
Shiguai has a rich industrial heritage and is abundant in natural resources and minerals, such as coal, silica, kaolin, limestone and dolomite.
In recent years, the district has always insisted on giving priority to the environment and unswerving green development, and has taken investment promotion and optimizing the business environment as its top priority for accelerating development.
A total of 25 major projects were signed in 2020, with a total contractual investment of 16.04 billion yuan and the introduction of domestic funds of 1.98 billion yuan, effectively helping the district in terms of deepening transformation and upgrading.
