Baotou gets 6.36m yuan of sci-tech funding

Three projects developed by companies based in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have been announced as recipients of the autonomous region's first batch of major scientific and technological special funding for 2021, according to the city's finance bureau.

A total of 6.36 million yuan ($968,940) of major scientific and technological special funds will be issued.

The "Research on Preparation of Strong Corrosion Resistant Rare Earth High Entropy Alloy by High Gravity Combustion Project", developed by the Baotou Rare Earth Research and Development Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), will receive 2.03 million yuan.

The "High-capacity, High-safety Solid-state New Type of Rare Earth Hydrogen Storage Material Industrialization Technology and Integrated Research Project", developed by Baotou Zhongke Xuanda New Energy Technology Co, will receive funding of 2.18 million yuan.

The "Research and Development of Mid-to-High-end Rare Earth Bearing Steel Preparation Technology Project", developed by the Baotou Rare Earth Research and Development Center of the CAS, will get funding support of 2.15 million yuan.
