Baotou issues measures targeting intelligent medical treatment for the elderly
The city of Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has issued an "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Solution to the Difficulties of the Elderly Using Intelligent Technology to Seek Medical Care", with the aim of providing more convenience to elderly people seeking medical services, according to Inner Mongolia Daily.
The "Plan" clarifies six specific work measures which improve service guarantees for the elderly, particularly in terms of responses to public health emergencies, daily medical treatment and health services.
These include improving "health code" management measures. Medical institutions need to add channels that people can pass without health codes. Staff members and volunteers will assist and guide elderly people who use smartphones to perform health code query operations on the spot, and also help elderly people who do not have mobile phones or who cannot provide health codes.
The city is to improve multiple registration appointment methods such as telephone, internet, and on-site appointments, and unblock channels used by family, relatives, friends and family doctors when making appointments for the elderly.
Manual service window services such as registration, payment, and printing of inspection reports are reserved, and registration and fee collection windows provide cash payment channels or conversion methods.
The "Plan" also seeks to open a green channel for appointments, optimize the process of online medical services for the elderly, and deliver an excellent performance in daily health management services for the elderly.
