Baotou high-tech gearboxes to serve Beijing 2022 games

Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Ruite Precision Tooling Co will be the sole supplier of planetary gearboxes for new energy buses operating at the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (Beijing 2022) – in the wake of an agreement signed with BIT Huachuang Electric Vehicle Technology Co – according to reports in the Baotou Evening News.

Under the supply contract, the Baotou-based precision tooling manufacturer will produce 16 new energy vehicle high-performance, power platform planetary gearboxes for the latter company.

In 2017, the two parties started to develop them together.

The product took three years to finalize and when it finally emerged it was small in size, light in weight and strong in power.

It has two driving gears and can reach a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
