Baotou gets 46.32m yuan fund for ecology improvement

Two key ecological protection, restoration and governance projects in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have gained approval to receive funding of 46.32 million yuan ($7.2 million) by the natural resources department of the autonomous region, according to Baotou Daily.
The ecological restoration project of abandoned mines in Bayan Obo mining district has a fund of 21.12 million yuan and a governance area of 1.65 square kilometers.
A total of 25.2 million yuan has been obtained for the ecological protection and restoration project around Qingshan district.
Baotou's bureau of natural resources held a special meeting to arrange the implementation of the two projects.
Presently, the two projects have completed the project design and preparation work. The preliminary implementation of the projects is expected to be completed by the end of November.
