Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region is to issue a total of 100,000 free scenic spot e-tickets to residents this year, starting on May 17, as part of the city's efforts to boost its cultural tourism industry, according to Baotou Evening News.

From May 17 to Oct 7, the free tickets can be obtained on the Aishang Baotou app after registering with a phone number.

The ticket is valid for 10 days after the ticket is received. If the ticket is not used before the expiration date, it will be automatically recovered, and the account can obtain the scenic spot ticket again.

After each account receives the ticket and has been verified and used in the scenic spot, it is not allowed to receive a ticket for that scenic spot again.

This year, Baotou city has strived to build a regional cultural tourism center and continuously optimized its business environment. Framework agreements have been achieved by the city with cultural tourism companies.

Next, the city will continue to increase investment attraction, strive for the introduction of a number of major cultural and tourism projects, plan a number of large-scale cultural and tourism events, and develop more 5A-level scenic spots.
