Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has launched a series of cultural activities to mark this years’ China Tourism Day, according to Baotou Daily.
The day saw the launch of the Aishang Baotou app, a smart cultural tourism integrated service platform.
From May 17 to Oct 7, free tickets can be obtained on the Aishang Baotou app after registering with a phone number.
The ticket is valid for 10 days after being received. If the ticket is not used before the expiration date, it will be automatically reclaimed, and the account will have to reorder the ticket for the scenic spot.
The city will continue to increase its investment attraction, strive for the introduction of a number of major cultural and tourism projects, plan a number of large-scale cultural and tourism activities, and develop more 5A-level scenic spots.
Since 2011, the country has designated May 19 every year as China Tourism Day.
China Tourism Day has become a promotional exhibition day meant to boost the integration of culture and tourism. All leagues and cities throughout the autonomous region are to implement a number of preferential measures according to their own unique circumstances.
