Grand annual art festival opens in Baotou

The 36th Lucheng Culture and Art Festival kicked off in Baotou city – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – with the opening ceremony held at the Arden Plaza on July 16, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
The annual art festival will host various activities, including reading activities, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, as well as artistic performances.
The festival is scheduled to run until September.
During the period, the main Arden Plaza venue will host more than 50 exhibitions and cultural performances. Branch venues have been set up in banners, counties and districts under Baotou's administration, as well as in the Saikhantal Grassland, an urban grassland located in the Baotou region.
