Wei Shaoping, a warehouse manager working at Inner Mongolia Yaxin Longshun Special Steel Co in Baotou – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – proudly stands next to her first wall mural. Two years ago, she used her spare time to learn Chinese painting from online videos and livestreaming. Last year, the wall of the company's sewage treatment plant was damaged and needed to be repaired urgently. She got permission to add her own personal touch, when she worked as the painter for the walls of the plant and her artistic skills became known to more and more people. [Photo/Baotou Evening News]

Another example of Wei's wall painting in Baotou. Wei wanted to learn to paint ever since she was a child, but for various reasons she had no chance to fulfill her dreams. With support from her family and the company, Wei took to the paintbrush and climbed onto a high stand, painting for eight or nine hours a day. [Photo/Baotou Evening News]
