A total of 119 old residential areas in Baotou, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, are to be renovated and upgraded in 2021, covering an area of 4.09 million square meters, according to local media reports.

The renovation and upgrade mainly includes residential area roads, water supply, heating, power supply, greening of exterior areas, lighting, walls – as well as the construction and renovation of markets.
