A document entitled "Plan for Greening Traditional Industries in Baotou (2021-2023)" was recently issued by the Baotou government, aiming to promote the green transformation of traditional industries and promote green industrial development for the whole city in the next three years.

According to this document, the efficient use of energy resources in the industrial field will increase markedly by 2023, a green manufacturing system has been initially established, and Baotou will become a national example of the green transformation of the old industrial base.

This plan will mainly focus on steel, aluminum, equipment manufacturing, rare earth, coal, green energy, and will see the completion of 150 key projects in fields such as energy conservation, environmentally-friendly production, comprehensive utilization of resources, and greening of industrial parks over the next three years.

The government will provide financial support for traditional industries that meet the requirements to boost green transformation.
