Baotou posts robust industrial economic growth in Q1-3

Baotou – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – saw strong robust industrial economic growth in the first three quarters of 2021, according to the latest official numbers.
The added value of industries above a designated scale in the city rose 15.1 percent year-on-year during the nine-month period, figures released by the city's statistics bureau showed.
The growth rate was reportedly higher than the national and autonomous region's average, ranking Baotou first among the 12 leagues and cities in the autonomous region.
The added value of the mining industry increased by 11.9 percent year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 19.5 percent, while the production and supply of electricity, gas and water increased by a combined 2.6 percent on a yearly basis.
From January to September, Baotou's industrial investment increased by a factor of 1.1, accounting for 46.1 percent of the city's investment. Private investment increased by 35.4 percent, accounting for 65.2 percent of the city's investment.
