A delegation from the National Technical University of Ukraine visited Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on a research tour recently, reports Baotou Daily.

Discussions were held on Baotou's introduction of high-quality scientific and technological resources from the Ukrainian university, in-depth international cooperation in scientific and technological projects, and the joint construction of high-end R&D institutions.

Next, the Baotou science and technology bureau will make efforts to promote the construction of a high-end technological innovation platform carrier by the National Technical University of Ukraine in Baotou, encourage the introduction of foreign advanced technology and high-end talent, and make more high-quality scientific and technological achievements.

Baotou has carried out more than 30 scientific and technological cooperation projects with countries including Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and France, according to local media reports.

The Belt and Road China-Europe Joint Laboratory has already been completed and begun operating in the city, and the construction of a demonstration line for the comprehensive utilization of 100,000 metric tons of carbonized steel slag has also begun.
