Tumd Right Banner in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reported steady economic growth, with its gross domestic product hitting 13.05 billion yuan ($2.04 billion) in the first three quarters of 2021, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent, reports Baotou Daily.
During the nine-month period, the added value of the primary industry was 1.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percent; the added value of the secondary industry was 5.43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.8 percent; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 5.9 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2 percent.
The banner's fixed asset investment increased by 140.3 percent year-on-year, ranking first in Baotou.
The added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the banner increased by 20 percent year-on-year
The per capita disposable income of urban permanent residents in the banner reached 29,985 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.4 percent, ranking third in the city.
This year, the banner has been making efforts to develop a green energy base, new material production base and new chemical base.
In the first three quarters, a total of 110 major projects were introduced to the banner, with a contractual investment of 97.67 billion yuan. Among them, 65 projects are worth over 100 million yuan each, with a contract investment of 96.77 billion yuan.
A total of 72 major projects, worth 100 million yuan or more each, have been confirmed by the banner for 2022, with a total investment of 47.61 billion yuan.
