Shiguai District People's Hospital officially opens its doors to patients

The Shiguai District People's Hospital in Baotou's Shiguai district, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region officially opened its doors on Dec 1, according to local media reports. 

The hospital was built based on the construction standards of a second-class general hospital. It focuses on rehabilitation for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and the disabled.

The hospital currently has 100 beds and 24 departments including a fever clinic, gastrointestinal clinic, gynecology (obstetrics) clinic, pediatrics ward, surgery (orthopedics) department, internal medicine (psychiatry, geriatrics) department, and an emergency room and an ICU.

The new healthcare facility offers a range of services covering gastrointestinal endoscopy, geriatric diseases, rehabilitation treatment and health check-ups.
