N China's Baotou promotes 50 major projects
Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been making strides in speeding up industrial development, and recently showcased 50 major projects at a promotional conference from Dec 7 to 9, according to local media reports.
During the promotional event, Hondlon and Qingshan districts as well as Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone have received ratings of excellence for major project promotion.
A total of 10 projects including the TBEA high-purity polysilicon project, Shuangliang 40GW monocrystalline silicon and slicing project, and Hongyuan Phase III single crystal pulling and supporting slicing project were rated as first-class projects.
This year, Baotou has accelerated the pace of green and low-carbon transformation, and major projects have shown a good momentum of improving both quantity and quality.
The city has implemented 715 major projects for the current year, which include 246 industrial development projects, 30 new energy projects, and 35 environmental protection projects.
By the end of November, 715 major projects in the city started or resumed construction work with a resumption rate of 100 percent, and 220 of the projects have been completed.
The growth rate of Baotou's supporting investment in fixed assets ranked first in the autonomous region during the same period.
