Inner Mongolia to focus on vocational training

Updated: 2021-12-20

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will focus on training workers with advanced skills during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).

The initiative was started by the Inner Mongolia Department of Human Resources and Social Security on Dec 16.

Over a five-year period, the autonomous region will advance cooperation between universities and companies, as well as help to build training centers, product R&D centers and master's work studios.

Meanwhile, Inner Mongolia will establish a priority channel for the evaluation of high-skilled workers in terms of their professional ability and work performance, as well as their application of scientific and technological achievements. It will also look at operating procedures, commercialization, production problems, participation in technological transformation and innovation, process improvement, and apprenticeships.

In addition, Inner Mongolia will improve its skill competition system, organize and carry out various vocational skills competitions at all levels, and at the same time increase the number of rewards available.
