Baotou strives to attract talent
The bureau of finance in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is prioritizing the attraction of talent by providing more funding and extending financing channels, according to local media reports.
In 2021, the bureau set aside 120 million yuan ($18.85 million) to cultivate and attract talented individuals. The money was designed to support projects that attract high-level and urgently-needed professionals, such as "Prairie Elites", "High-tech Talents" and "Baotou Craftsman". The bureau also provides subsidies for various individuals and teams, and service mechanisms for college graduates were also improved to attract all kinds of talent to the city.
The city also established an investment system to attract diverse talent. The bureau of finance set up the Capital Fund for Talent Innovation and Venture, valued at 200 million yuan, and has provided 74.6 million yuan to six teams. The bureau will strive to attract more social capital to support innovation and entrepreneurship talent.
The policy system for talent was also strengthened by the Bureau of Finance and other departments. It was designed to attract more people to work or start businesses in Baotou through preferential policies, a healthy living and working environment and quality services.
