Baotou mayor pledges to press ahead with major projects

Zhang Rui, mayor of Baotou city – and a deputy to the sixth session of the 13th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Congress – recently pledged that he would make more efforts to ensure the construction and promotion of major projects in Baotou city, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Zhang said that construction of projects in Baotou would continue throughout the winter, in order to accelerate the formation of new economic growth points.
In addition, he added, the city would improve approval procedures for new projects, as well as provide more services for enterprises.
Baotou plans to develop a number of industrial clusters, improve its overall technical levels and promote its industrial upgrading.
In addition, Baotou will accelerate its deployment of infrastructure such as high-speed rail, highways and 5G networks, while further promoting its urban renewal.
