In the "When intangible cultural heritage meets the Winter Olympics" broadcast by China Central Television (CCTV) on the evening of March 3, Sun Erlin – a practitioner of Baotou paper-cutting – was selected a representative practitioner of one of the torch elements at the Beijing 2022 Olympics Winter Games.

Sun showed the audience how the ancient art of paper-cutting and the Winter Olympics became a design element on the "Flying" torch.

Sun said that it was an honor to show her paper-cutting skills on the CCTV program, as well as promote Baotou culture.

The paper-cut display represented the strength and durability of Baotou's intangible cultural heritage.
