Baotou has been working to attract investment in April.

On April 6, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Service Industry High Quality Development Promotion Conference was held, and a sub-venue was set up in Baotou. At the meeting, the city signed agreements for a total of 26 projects with a contractual investment of 43.75 billion yuan ($6.55 billion). These projects will provide strong support for the upgrading of Baotou's service industry in the future.

That same day, the 20 gigawatts photovoltaic module project of Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co and the second phase of the 40GW monocrystalline silicon project started in the Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

On April 17, the Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner's Zero-Carbon Park project – Inner Mongolia's first and Baotou's only zero-carbon park – officially started. The city has taken another solid step toward its goal of accelerating green and low-carbon development and striving to become a pioneer in the reduction of carbon emissions.

As of April 28, the city has attracted investment from 2,066 enterprises and signed agreements for 522 projects with a total investment of 543.34 billion yuan, and construction on 77 projects has started.

In addition, from mid-February to the end of April, the municipal discipline inspection and supervision system optimized the business environment.
