The Baotou Olympic Sports Center recently held a signing ceremony for its hosting operation project.

The two signatories were the Baotou Stadium Service Center and Shandong Cultural Tourism Group Sports Industry Co.

The Baotou Olympic Sports Center is the biggest, most well-funded, and most well-equipped such center in the city.

It is a State-owned enterprise and one-stop sports service complex that serves as the venue for events, offers sports training, and carries out sports engineering. It is also a sports tourism and media center.

After the signing, the company plans to invest 20 million yuan ($2.96 million) within the next three years for the basic maintenance of the venue, the upgrading of supporting facilities, and intelligent development.

The main functional facilities of existing venues are used to host marathons, badminton, and other events, making them active and highly popular venues.

The center will recruit retired coaches from the national team to develop itself into the most advanced sports education base for young people, use existing venues to train young people to play sports such as badminton and basketball, and conduct special sports training for college entrance examinations.

In addition, the company plans to carry out operation and management work related to exhibition activities, fitness and rehabilitation, commercial retail, social entertainment, and specialty catering.
