The first Double-Carbon Industry Forum and the signing ceremony for the key projects of the second quarter in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner – administered by North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – were recently held in the banner's Low-carbon Headquarters Economic Park.

Their purpose is to explore local high-quality development paths and models and contribute to the promotion of ecological economic and social development.

At the forum, building energy expert Zhao Jiancheng, energy storage project expert Zeng Fanpeng, smart city industry application expert Qu Jie, double-carbon industry expert Miao Luyi, and Zhongke Intelligent double-carbon technology research expert Wen Hongjun delivered keynote speeches.

They encouraged the banner to overcome the constraints of resources and the environment, promote the transformation of the economic structure, and achieve sustainable double-carbon development.

At the signing ceremony, the banner signed a total of 20 key projects including the Double Carbon Smart Key Technology Strategic Research Institute Cooperation Project and the Beijing Mid-Carbon Era Ecological Industrialization Strategic Cooperation Project.

The signed projects cover many fields, including new energy, new materials, ecology, and equipment manufacturing. The large investment and high technology content is expected to stimulate the green and low-carbon transformation of the banner’s industry.
