The fourth Baotou Youth Science and Technology Sports Fair was recently launched in Baotou.

During the two-day competition, 447 students from 48 schools across the city competed in five technology competitions and three sports competitions.

More than 2,000 children participated in experiential science and technology sports projects at the main venue – the Baotou Science and Technology Children's Palace – and four primary and secondary schools held branch venue activities simultaneously.

Sand remote control car racing, 3D printing pen, fashion design, basketball, soccer... during the two-day event, children demonstrated the imagination, creativity and youthful vigor of Baotou's youth.

"I participated in the multi-rotor mission competition and paper boat water load-bearing competition. Every experiment was a challenge. I didn't give up even when I failed. In the end, I represented my school in the competition," said Qiao Zixuan, a fifth grader, during the launch ceremony.

The 3D printing pen uses PLA and ABS plastics, which can directly write or draw on any surface or in the air. When preparing for the event, Li Shengze, a second grader, said "I have experienced it before and found it very interesting. The printing pens can print out, assemble and splice things that I want to make."
