Intangible cultural heritage promoted in Baotou

The Baotou Intangible Cultural Heritage Publicity Exhibition and the sixth Dongda Mountain Art Festival in Qingshan district, undertaken by the Baotou municipal bureau of culture and tourism, Baotou municipal intangible cultural heritage protection center and other entities, opened on June 3.
At the event, more than 30 activities, including a dough sculpture competition, color painting art competition, rural cultural sculpture sketch collection, intangible cultural heritage project display, intangible cultural heritage project experience, intangible cultural heritage shopping festival, and art lecture hall, were held.
In recent years, Baotou has been seeing strong results in the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
To date, the city has three national-level, 36 autonomous-level, and 102 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, with two national-level, 46 autonomous-level, and 175 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage inheritors respectively.
The main venue of the intangible cultural heritage publicity exhibition was in Dongdagou village, Qingshan district. Through a series of colorful intangible cultural heritage publicity and exhibition experience activities, it demonstrated the positive role played by the city's intangible cultural heritage in integrating into modern life and helping rural vitalization.
