A group of wild Mongolian gazelles were recently seen running through grassland along the Mandula border of Mongolia and Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

These wild Mongolian gazelles sometimes bow their heads for food in bushes and grass and sometimes live in groups.

The Mongolian gazelle is a national second-class protected wild animal and is included on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list of threatened species. It mainly inhabits Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang in China, as well as Mongolia.

In recent years, the environment of Baotou has continued to improve, people's awareness of wildlife protection is increasing, and illegal hunting has been effectively curbed.

Wildlife populations in border areas have recovered, and more and more wild animals are thriving there. Rare wild animals such as yellow sheep, Mongolian wild ass, and golden eagle are often sighted.
