Due to COVID-19, many enterprises in Baotou are struggling to ship their products or pay back loans on time. To help these companies, the Baotou government has adopted a series of favorable policies in recent years.
"For the past three years, we have received unemployment insurance premiums returned to us by the government and used the money to train employees and improve technology. Now our electronic trucks have expanded in scale and have been upgraded and equipped with intelligent technology, greatly reducing the cost of labor," said Yang Jigang, manager of the financial department of Baotou Jinfeng Weighing Apparatus Manufacturing Co.
The city will continue to return unemployment insurance to stabilize jobs. If an insured enterprise laid off less than 5.5 percent of its employees in the previous year, or if it employs less than 30 people, it can apply for an unemployment insurance return.
In addition, Baotou will directly issue stable employment return funds to eligible enterprises this year without the need to apply. However, no refund will be given to enterprises that seriously violate the law, act dishonestly, or do not comply with local environmental protection policies.
The policy will be in effect until Dec 31. Insured companies that have not had their information screened can apply at the online service hall of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Human Resources and Social Security Department website.
