Baotou rolls out 65 projects to boost 55 villages
The Baotou bureau of finance, located in Baotou city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has undertaken a number of measures since the start of the year to boost rural public welfare projects and promote the implementation of its rural revitalization strategy.
At the beginning of 2022, Baotou conducted on-the-spot surveys of the rural public welfare projects and beautiful rural projects initiated by various banners, counties and districts.
It hired experts to review and demonstrate the necessity and feasibility of their development in a timely manner, issuing approval documents as soon as possible to ensure the projects were completed and received formal acceptance within the year.
A total of 65 rural public welfare projects and rural renovation projects will be supported this year, involving 55 villages in 28 townships, benefiting an estimated 63,000 people.
To date, the bureau has issued 26.56 million yuan ($3.96 million) in funds, including 12.5 million yuan from the central government and 14.06 million yuan from the autonomous region's government.
In addition, the city is strengthening its supervision of the financial bureaus of the banners, counties, districts and project implementation villages.
It is conducting daily and effective supervision of the applications, reviews, implementation, funds allocation and other areas to ensure projects are completed on time, to a high standard and quantity and with guarantees for their quality.
