3 villages in Baotou selected as key rural tourism villages
The second batch of key villages and towns for rural tourism in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was recently announced. The villages of Dongdagou, Taomagou and Xinhe villages in the city of Baotou in Inner Mongolia were selected.
The selection was jointly carried out by the Culture and Tourism Department and the Development and Reform Commission of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, aiming to help promote rural vitalization and the integrated development of urban and rural areas and improve the quality and comprehensive benefits of rural tourism development.
The autonomous region has selected 29 key rural tourism villages and three key rural tourism towns to be included in this batch. Among them, six villages have been recommended as national key tourism villages and three towns have been recommended as national key tourism towns. Dongdagou village in Baotou made the list of recommended applicants to become national key tourism villages in the autonomous region.
Baotou currently boasts one national key tourism village – Xiwan village. It is also home to six autonomous region-level key villages for rural tourism, including the villages of Qingshan, Hechengquan and Harawusu Gacha ("Gacha" means village in Mongolian) in addition to the aforementioned three.
