The large-scale structural parts manufactured by First Machinery Group – located in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – were adopted by two sets of large-scale intelligent coal mining equipment independently developed by China.
Among the two sets of equipment, a new generation of complete sets of open-pit edge mining equipment – independently developed by the Taiyuan Research Institute of China Coal Science and Industry Corporation – successfully completed an experimental mining trial at ChinaCoal Pingshuo Group Co.
The success of the trial shows that China's edge mining technology system is becoming more and more mature and has the conditions for the comprehensive promotion of large open-pit mines.
On July 7, China's first complete sets of drilling-anchor integrated intelligent fast excavation equipment – developed and manufactured by the China Coal Mining Research Institute and Taiyuan Research Institute – rolled off the assembly line in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.
After receiving its manufacturing task, the third branch of First Machinery Group continued improving processes such as material processing and welding, and provided customers with high-quality products. The equipment maintained a high quality under harsh working conditions and has earned a solid reputation among its clients.
