The Baotou municipal finance bureau has been seeking funds since the beginning of this year. In the first half of the year, a total of 40.72 million yuan ($6.04 million) in various public welfare funds was allocated to various social welfare undertakings urgently needed by the masses.

The 12.75-million-yuan public welfare fund won by the bureau supports the healthy development of urban cultural undertakings in Baotou, including the renovation projects of the Performing Arts Center of Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner and the library in Bayan Obo mining district.

A total of 12.73 million yuan was used to support local social welfare undertakings, including bed operation and one-time construction, institutional liability insurance subsidies, epidemic prevention and control, and accidental injury insurance for the elderly in elderly care institutions.

In addition, 15.24 million yuan was used to support the development of sports in the city, including the renovation of sports parks and old communities, the deployment of portable automated external defibrillators in public stadiums, parks and squares, and the 14th Baotou Games.

Next, the bureau will continue to increase efforts to obtain funds to ensure support for important and urgent projects.
