The Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, a State-level high-tech zone, relies on rich rare earth resources and new technologies to improve its independent innovation capability and enhance the technical added value of rare earth products.

Zhao Zhen, chairman of Inner Mongolia Zhongtian Hongyuan Remanufacturing Co, an enterprise in the zone, said that the company is focused on solving technical problems related to new rare earth surface modification materials and rare earth heat-resistant materials and processing technology, and its core technology products have reached international advanced levels.

Zhongke Wanxiang Group in Baotou signed a technical cooperation agreement on the antibacterial effect of rare earth composite antibacterial materials in the oral bacterial environment with China Agricultural University and Sinopharm First Machinery Hospital, in an effort to explore and develop a new field.

Technology has also made the rare earth industry more eco-friendly. North Rare Earth Group was awarded the honorary title of "Green Growth Enterprise", formulated and revised 14 international, national, industry and group standards including the world's first international standard for rare earth, and played a strong role in the rare earth industry.

Next, the zone will continue to promote projects with high technology content and environmentally-friendliness, such as health care, new energy vehicles, 3C series products, magnetic resonance equipment, and permanent magnet motors, which fill the gaps in the industrial field and promote the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.
