The 14th China Baotou Rare Earth Industry Forum and the 2022 Academic Annual Meeting of the China Rare Earth Society will be held in Baotou on Aug 18-19.

Baotou has held the China Baotou Rare Earth Industry Forum every year since 2009 – a total of 13 times. The forum has become the top event in the rare earth industry and has helped promote the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.

The forum's tagline is "enhancing the technological innovation capabilities of the rare earth industry and ensuring the stability and security of the industrial and supply chains". The forum will build a docking platform for the practical application of scientific and technological achievements in the rare earth industry and provide cooperation opportunities for the implementation of major rare earth projects.

It has been reported that the forum will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the China Rare Earth Society, which will expand the influence of both events while enhancing the academic nature of the meeting.

This will comprehensively demonstrate the latest progress – including cutting-edge technologies in rare earth resource development and environmental protection, technological innovation of rare earth functional materials, test analysis and performance evaluation of new rare earth materials – in rare earth basic research, applied research, industrial technology and the market in China.
