Forum, conference on agriculture, animal husbandry held in Baotou

The 2022 National Agricultural Green Development Summit Forum was held in Baotou on Aug 15. Its tagline was "Transfer Mode, Improve Quality, Build Brand, and Promote Industry".
At the forum, eight academicians and experts, including Sun Zhonghua, president of the China Association of Cooperative Economics, delivered keynote speeches. Six entrepreneurs, including Liu Hui, deputy general manager of China National Agricultural Development Group Co, gave speeches on industrial development.
The First Semi-finished Cuisine Industry Conference in Baotou was also held together with the above forum. At the conference, Baotou released a three-year action plan (2022-24) for the development of the semi-finished cuisine industry and 10 measures to promote its high-quality development (for trial implementation). By the end of 2024, the output value of the industry in Baotou is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.47 billion).
The conference unveiled for the China Green Food Association Animal Husbandry Professional Committee and the Baotou Branch of Inner Mongolia Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Financing Guarantee Co. Agreements for a total of 45 projects were signed on site, with a total investment of 11.2 billion yuan.
Zhou Xudong, president of Xiaoweiyang Group, China's leading enterprise in mutton farming and food processing, who successfully signed the contract, said that they will work with Shandong Shuifa Group and the Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner government to build a mutton sheep integration demonstration area project with an annual output of 3 million sheep.
He added that the convening of the forum and the signing of the contract will play a positive role in promoting the city's green industry and the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
