According to the announcement on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, five national-level specialized and new "little giant" enterprises recently approved in Inner Mongolia autonomous region are all located in Baotou.

Baotou is currently home to 16 national-level little giant enterprises, ranking first in the autonomous region in terms of number of enterprises. The cultivation of little giant enterprises has seen remarkable results, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Baotou's industry and economy.

Since the beginning of this year, the Baotou municipal bureau of industry and information technology has continued to cultivate little giant enterprises and regularly update enterprises above designated size to ensure they remain at the cutting edge.

There are currently 290 specialized and new small and medium-sized enterprises above a designated size in the city.

Among them, 38 of them, including Hannover Smart Energy Technology (Inner Mongolia) Co and Baotou Xinyuan Rare Earth High-tech Materials Co, were awarded the title of innovative enterprises in the autonomous region, and 28 of them, including Fengda Petroleum Equipment Co and Yinghua Rongtai Medical Technology, were awarded the title of specialized and new enterprise in the autonomous region. Baotou is home to the highest number of enterprises in the autonomous region to have won these two titles.
