Baotou had signed agreements for a total of 1,052 investment projects as of the end of August, with a total contracted investment of 947.73 billion yuan ($136.55 billion).

The municipal Party committee convened the city's 2022 key projects and investment promotion work scheduling meeting on Dec 31, 2021 to make arrangements for this year's key projects and investment promotion work. The city then announced the first batch of 100 key tasks on Feb 4 to optimize the business environment in 2022.

According to the data, as of Aug 31 the city's leaders had led the team out to attract investment 95 times, connected with 386 enterprises, visited more than 20 provinces and cities, and visited more than 80 central enterprise headquarters, various business associations and societies.

In addition, this year the National Development and Reform Commission released the "China Business Environment Report 2021" and Baotou was once again awarded the "Excellent City" title.

A large number of high-quality projects are laying the foundation for Baotou's modern industrial system with diversified development and multi-polar support.
