Import, export cargo of Mandula Port surpassed last year's volume
As the last container vehicle loaded with Mongolian coal passed through customs, the cumulative volume of import and export cargo passing through Mandula Port in Baotou this year has reached 1.65 million metric tons, 109 days ahead of schedule and surpassing the total amount in 2021.
Since the beginning of this year, the import of mineral products at the Mandula Port has grown rapidly. In August, imported mineral products exceeded 400,000 tons for the first time, setting records for both the import of mineral products in a single day and a single month since the opening of the port.
From May 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council will completely eliminate provisional import taxes on coal. Baotou Customs announced that the policy will increase coal imports.
At the same time, Baotou has actively promoted the reform of the "distribution to collection" business model and implemented non-invasive inspections of inbound and outbound vehicles and goods. This not only eliminates the hidden risks of smuggling, but also significantly improves the speed of goods turnover and customs clearance efficiency.
In addition, the port has implemented a convenient customs clearance service known as "advanced appointment + appointment customs clearance + centralized inspection", optimized the supervision process, established a smooth working mechanism for maintaining logistical efficiency at the port, and realized "zero delay" in commodity inspection and customs clearance, ensuring the safety and smoothness of the national energy channel.
