Projects costing $6b signed in Baotou at national entrepreneur conference

The 2022 National Entrepreneur Activity Day and Chinese Entrepreneurs Annual Conference were held in Baotou on Sept 16. A centralized project signing was held at the conference that same day. Baotou and related enterprises signed agreements for a total of 36 projects with a total investment of 45.26 billion yuan ($6.45 billion).
The projects involve 12 fields, including wind and solar energy storage, the non-metallic material industry, equipment manufacturing industry, non-ferrous metal industry, rare earth industry, environmental protection industry, and software and information service technology industry.
Wang Zhongyu, president of the China Entrepreneurs Association, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
Outstanding entrepreneurs from all over the country gathered to discuss development with media reporters.
"Baotou is a city of steel, rare earth, and equipment, and has unique resources and industrial foundations. In recent years, Baotou has adjusted its economic structure and deployed emerging industries. Our company's development plan is very suitable for Baotou, and I hope to participate in the strategic development plan of Baotou in the future to form an industrial cluster," said Zheng Yueming, chairman of Levima New Materials Co in Shandong province, at the conference.
Huang Jiandong, chairman of Ningxia Hening Chemical Co, praised Baotou's natural environment when he first arrived in Baotou and expressed the company's willingness to cooperate with Baotou.
