Baotou seeks to cancel 19 unfinished projects

Updated: 2022-10-10

Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region is seeking to cancel 19 unfinished high-level projects, according to government plans.

After a comprehensive investigation of 260 projects by the autonomous region, the 19 projects that were finally determined to be uncompleted in the city can be divided into three categories.

Four of the projects were cancelled due to a lack of funds, one project could not be completed due to a lack of necessary procedures for completed projects, and 14 projects needed to be rectified due to a high proportion of unpaid funds for completed projects.

A total of 14 of the unfinished projects, such as the Baotou Library (Science and Education) Construction Project, will be rectified by the end of December this year, while another five, such as the Baotou International Hospital Project, will be rectified by 2023.
