Baotou recently made efforts to guarantee stable production and maintain positive attitude toward stabilizing the market.

In the factories of Baotou Huading Copper Industry Development Co, Jinli Permanent Magnet (Baotou) Technology Co, Baogang Group and other enterprises, each production link is operating normally.

"The second phase of the project is under construction and is expected to be completed in June 2023," according to the relevant person in charge at Jinli Permanent Magnet (Baotou) Technology Co. It is reported that the company's two phases of projects are expected to eventually reach a production capacity of 20,000 metric tons of high-performance rare earth permanent magnetic materials and permanent magnetic element devices and achieve annual sales of 6 billion yuan ($834.44 million).

In Baotou Aluminum Industrial Park, four nucleic acid detection points have been set up in the park, and epidemic prevention materials have been distributed according to the needs of enterprises so as to ensure their normal production.

Baotou Shengtai Auto Parts Manufacturing Co mainly supplies wheels for well-known automobile enterprises such as Geely, Great Wall, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and Audi.

"A wheel hub project has the potential to reach 90 percent automation, and all five processes can be automated. It is estimated that 6 million aluminum wheels will be produced by the end of this year," said Wang Chao, general manager of company, also stating that the current epidemic has not affected production in any way.
