In mid-August, Baotou set a goal to make use of 76,400 mu (5,093 hectares) of idle land during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period from 2021 to 2025.

In December 2020, the municipal government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Inner Mongolia Branch of China Grain Reserves Group Co to carry out the relocation and reconstruction project of the China Grain Reserves Baotou Warehouse Co in Baotou.

This project was recently implemented, revitalizing 400 mu of land in the city.

The smooth implementation of the project has laid a foundation for the Inner Mongolia branch to carry out grain processing and trade cooperation in Baotou Grain Processing Trade Logistics Park, and will provide more employment opportunities for local residents.

Next, the city will strengthen the disposal of idle land to improve land use efficiency.
