Baotou optimizes business environment

Baotou has optimized its business environment over the past two years, and this year, the government service index scored 97.54 points in the business environment assessment of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The Baotou Administrative Examination and Approval and Government Affairs Service Hall is a national pilot unit for social management and public service standardization. It has 45 departments and units and 180 staff members, and can handle 1,485 administrative examination and approval and public service matters, with more than 500,000 items dealt with annually.

Currently, Baotou is able to process 1,487 items at a single window and 666 items through self-service machines, while 150 items can be handled at a single given time, and 101 items can be handled on behalf of others. 

Han Jifei, the plant preparation director at Mingyang New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Baotou, said, "When we first arrived in Baotou, there were special staff members to help throughout the whole process. As long as we had all the necessary materials, we could basically complete each step in a day or two. We were impressed."

In addition, Baotou has delegated 169 high-frequency personal issues to convenient service centers, police stations and bank outlets in the front of communities.
