Baotou collections selected in national intangible heritage museum

Updated: 2022-10-31

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Beijing recently launched the list of national intangible cultural heritage items for the nation and 61 collections in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region were selected.

Of those, 12 were paper-cutting collections, a representative project for the national intangible cultural heritage of Baotou city in the region.

In recent years, Baotou has said to have made great achievements in the inheritance, protection and innovative development of its intangible cultural heritage.

It has also participated in the exhibitions for the associated achievements in the autonomous region and the country.

Many works from intangible cultural heritage projects – such as paper-cutting and dough sculptures – have featured in online intangible cultural heritage livestreaming for the "Inner Mongolia Great Wall Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition", the "Inner Mongolia Yellow River Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Exhibition" and the "The Sixth Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Cultural Industry Expo (Online)".
