Baotou city records growth in Q1-3 urban employment
In the first three quarters of 2022, some 39,000 more people found employment in Baotou city – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – according to reports in the Baotou Daily.
During the nine-month period, 18,400 urban unemployed were rehired, with 193.4 percent of Baotou's annual target completed. Nine out of the 16 targets and tasks have been completed throughout the year so far, while the total completion of five targets – including the issuance of entrepreneurship guaranteed loans – ranks first among all the leagues and cities in the autonomous region.
Baotou is reported to have fully implemented various policies and key reform measures of the State and the autonomous region. What's more, it has reduced unemployment insurance premiums in stages – to reduce the burden on enterprises by 246 million yuan ($33.95 million) – and deferred payment of unemployment insurance premiums for 58 enterprises totaling 325,100 yuan.
A one-time training subsidy fund of 122 million yuan was issued to 9,238 local businesses and a one-time job expansion subsidy fund of 180,000 yuan was issued to 33 enterprises based in the city.
A total of 306 jobs fairs have been held in Baotou in the first nine months, with 8,312 enterprises participating, serving 119,000 job seekers and leading to employment intentions being expressed by employers concerning 36,700 people.
