Robot dogs to be used for dangerous heavy industry tasks

There now exists a dog-shaped robot which can go up steps, run and lay down. What is more amazing, it is expected to become an important tool in the field of heavy industry.

Xu Deguang, general manager of Inner Mongolia BKJD Robot Co, said the relatively mature quadruped robot product can carry objects weighing up to 80 kilograms, cross over rough terrain, and act in sync with its operator.

The dog is also explosion-proof, antimagnetic, and heat-producing, making it suitable for application in unique and dangerous environments.

Referring to the equipment installed on the back of the robot dog, Xu explained, "These devices carry cloud communication systems and vision systems, making it capable of inspection and detection in areas that people cannot touch."

Xu added that at present, the robot dog has been tested in Baotou and the domestic electrolytic aluminum industry, and will be widely used in aluminum industrial production after undergoing improvements.

In addition, the company is negotiating with Baogang Group to find out where and how the robot dogs can be best used. more intelligent brains and diverse functions will be installed as required by customers so that they can be used for dangerous tasks related to steel production.
