Rare earth institute in Baotou to set up national workstation
The Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee announced its list of places that they will construct postdoctoral research workstations. There are nine areas in Inner Mongolia autonomous region that have been selected, and the Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute is among them. So far, a total of 16 postdoctoral research workstations have been set up in Baotou.
Since establishment, the Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute has undertaken more than 2,300 projects, obtained more than 300 international and domestic authorized patents, and won more than 300 awards for scientific and technological achievements at or above the provincial level, including first prize for national inventions and first prize for national scientific and technological progress.
A large number of cutting-edge achievements produced by the institute are still used today, specifically in the fields of rare earth beneficiation, rare earth metallurgy, environmental protection, and rare earth functional materials.
Over the years, based on the training of innovative talents, the institute has built a set of talent introduction and training system, and created a professional R&D team with a high level of research. At present, there are 42 talents who have won awards and recognition at or above regional level.
